RivalSift ("we," "us," "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

When you use our intake form or subscribe to our service, we collect:

• Contact info: your email address and company name
• Business info: your company URL and competitor URLs you provide
• Usage data: page views and form interactions with hashed IP addresses (not personally identifiable)

How We Use Your Data

• Deliver reports: We scrape publicly available competitor websites and use AI (Claude by Anthropic) to generate your competitive intelligence reports.
• Process payments: Subscription billing is handled by Stripe. We never store your credit card information.
• Send communications: We use Resend to deliver reports and service emails to your inbox.
• Improve our service: We track anonymized funnel events (page views, form interactions) with hashed IPs to understand how people use our site.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies or collect personal data. We also track basic funnel events (page views, form starts, submissions) using hashed IP addresses that cannot be traced back to you.

Data We Scrape

To generate reports, we collect and analyze publicly available information from competitor websites you specify — including pricing pages, job listings, blog posts, and social media profiles. We do not access any private or password-protected content.

Third-Party Services

We share data only with service providers necessary to operate RivalSift:

• Stripe — payment processing
• Resend — email delivery
• Anthropic (Claude) — AI analysis
• Cloudflare — hosting and analytics

We never sell your data to third parties.

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your subscription is active. If you cancel, we delete your data within 90 days unless required by law to retain it.

Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Opt out of data processing
• Data portability

Security
